Many people especially those who have tried everything to purge those excess fats have turned to the cayenne pepper diet because of its effectiveness. Although the whole part of this regime can be harsh to one’s body, many wish to try the effectiveness of this diet, maybe to serve as their last resort.

Cayenne pepper diet is a hot concoction composed mainly of cayenne pepper, lemon, water, and maple syrup, some use honey as a substitute. It is a short-term, cleansing diet comparable to those fasting developed to rid the body of its toxins. The only difference is that, this mixture has the hot cayenne pepper in it, which is believed to burn off body fats. The body will be deprived of solid food for a time while this hot concoction will be the one to provide the much needed nutrients that must be provided to the body for it to continue its functions. This is the reason why it is much better to use maple syrup, specifically, Grade B, than honey in this mixture. Although honey comes from a more natural source than maple syrup, which is derived and processed from maple trees, honey has lesser mineral content than maple syrup. These minerals will be use by the body tissues so as to continue their normal functions.

A strict adherence to the procedure will help the body maintain its metabolism while effectively doing its purpose. Refraining from eating solid food and drinking other beverages aside from water, salted water, laxative tea and this concoction must be stringently observed. After almost two weeks of doing this regimen, one cannot start with solid food at once. Only freshly-squeezed fruits like oranges and apples should be eaten for thirty-six hours. After that, a diet of raw vegetables and fruits can be substituted and then followed by an easily-digested food diet such as soup.

If not followed meticulously, the cayenne pepper diet may have some adverse reactions to the body. The purpose of this diet is to clean the body of toxins and other impurities, burn excess fats, and give the digestive system some time to restore its form. Additionally, it is also wiser to consult a health physician first since cayenne pepper has some side effects with some drugs and herbs. It can also cause allergies to people allergic with specific herbs.

Most people fail to finish this diet because their mind maybe pre-conditioned in thinking that they cannot go without solid food for a day. As such, they are tempted to withdraw from their regimen even if they have just started. But of course, weight loss does not mainly depend on your food plan, you must also put in some physical activities like exercise to make it work. Even the simplest activity of walking will help you burn your calories together with the cayenne pepper concoction. Nevertheless, it is always wise to rest whenever you feel like you are low in energy during your physical activities. Most of all, great self-confidence and an even greater positive outlook will make your body profit from this regimen, thus also achieving that honey figure you have always wanted.
